ABOUT THE SMLA
The Sales & Marketing Leadership Alliance (SMLA) was formed as a resource for the region’s sales and marketing leaders. Our objective is to build a community of sales and marketing professionals, providing world-class educational opportunities while connecting these professionals to the region’s top-notch resource providers.
The mission is simple – to bring sales and marketing leaders together, to enhance their productivity, build stronger bonds, leverage best practices and ultimately increase sales and enhance brands.
With the average tenure of an employee in the U.S. is steadily dropping, and the new paradigm of four to five generations working side by side for the first time ever, the role of sales and marketing is vitally important to an organization’s success. However, many Sales and Marketing professionals enter into their first leadership role, with little, if any, formal training on effective management. Additionally, there are limited resources for these leaders to gain access to professional development, best in class methodology and peer 2 peer networking – that’s where the SMLA comes in!
